¿QUIERES VIVIR MUCHO TIEMPO?
¿QUIERES GOZAR DE LA VIDA?
“Guarda tu lengua del mal, y tus labios de hablar engaño.
Apártate del mal, y haz el bien;
Busca la paz, y síguela”
Salmo 34:13-14
¡Que fácil es responder SÍ a las dos preguntas arriba
mencionadas! ¡Qué difícil es obedecer las condiciones que
Dios nos demanda cumplir para “vivir mucho y gozar de la
vida.” La vida se compone de decisiones. Lo que decidimos
determina los resultados, las consecuencias con las que
vamos a vivir. La palabra de Dios pone en nosotros la
responsabilidad de escoger entre el bien y el mal. Escoges
el bien cuando “guardas tu lengua de hablar engaño, cuando
te apartas del mal, cuando haces el bien, cuando buscas la
paz y la sigues,” no hacerlo sólo trae dolor y sufrimiento a
la vida. Muchas veces es relativamente fácil apartarse del
mal y “del malo”, pero la Escritura dice que eso no es
suficiente, no sólo debemos de apartarnos del mal, sino
hacer el bien. Es decir obrar positivamente, buscando,
fabricando y procurando hacer el bien para con todos...¡Esto
si tiene gran valor a los ojos de Dios! Por otra parte, no
podemos tener paz, si la paz de Dios no mora en nuestro
corazón, no podemos ser hacedores de paz si nuestros hechos
no son motivados por el amor a Dios “vivir mucho tiempo y
gozar de la vida” es sólo para los que con temor reverente
delante de Dios, no viven “ocupándose de la carne” sino “ocupándose
del Espíritu que es vida y paz.” Romanos 8:5-6. ¿Qué decides
hacer? ¡Toma decisiones sabias ahora mismo!

DO YOU WANT TO ENJOY LIFE?
“Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips
from speaking deceit. Depart from evil and do
good;
Seek peace and pursue it.
“Psalm 34:13-14
How easy it is to answer YES to both questions
above! How difficult it is to subject to the
demand that God demands from us in order to
“live long and enjoy life."
Life consists of
choices. What we decide determines the outcome,
the consequences with which we will live. The
word of God puts on us the responsibility of
choosing between good and evil. We choose the
good when we "keep our tongue from speaking
deceit, when we depart from evil, when we do
good, when we look for peace and follow it" not
doing it only brings pain and suffering to our
lives. Often times it is relatively easy to
depart from evil and "the bad," but the
Scripture says that's not enough, we must not
only depart from evil, but do good. It is to
say, act positively, searching, trying to
produce and do good to all. This has great value
in the eyes of God! On the other hand, we cannot
have peace, if God’s peace does not dwell in our
hearts, we cannot be makers of peace if our
deeds are not motivated by love for God "live a
long life and enjoy life” is only for those with
awe before God, and do not live "seized on the
flesh," but rather "seized on the Spirit which
is life and peace." Romans 8:5-6. What do you
decide? Make wise choices now!
