PALABRAS DEL PASTOR
Sembrar una semilla.
“El sembrador salió a sembrar.”
Mateo 13:3
Continuamos en este mes con el propósito de dar a conocer la Gloria de Dios. Recordamos que la gloria de Dios es su presencia santa. Dar a conocer la gloria de Dios es sembrar la semilla de la Palabra en los corazones de las personas. Jesús nos ilustró esa verdad a través de una linda historia conocida como “La Parábola del Sembrador” (Mateo 13:3-9).
La Parábola del Sembrador narra la historia de un hombre que salió a sembrar, y mientras sembraba una parte de la semilla cayó junto al camino y las aves del cielo se la comieron. Otra parte cayó entre pedregales, como no tenía mucha profundidad creció rápido, pero salido el sol se quemó y secó. Parte cayó entre espinos, y los espinos crecieron y la ahogaron. Pero una parte cayó en buena tierra y dio frutos abundantes.
El tema central de la parábola no es el sembrador, sino los diferentes tipos de corazones. La semilla es la misma, pero los corazones que la reciben diferentes. Algunos la rechazan instantáneamente porque no la entienden o el maligno los ciega. Otros la reciben con alegría pero no pasan de esa alegría, se olvidan. Muchos tienen su mirada puesta en las cosas de esta vida, están tan ocupados en las cosas que perecen, en acumular riquezas, prestigio, bienes, diversiones, etc., que la Palabra crece pero estas cosas la ahogan. Pero hay una buena tierra, corazones buenos y rectos, que entienden la Palabra, la retienen y perseveran en dar fruto (Mateo 13:18-23, Lucas 8:11-15).
Algunas enseñanzas de esta parábola nos ayudarían en nuestro propósito de Dar a conocer la Gloria de Dios.
1. Nuestra función es sembrar la semilla, compartir el mensaje. No es nuestra función producir fruto.
2. Hay diferentes tipos de repuesta cuando sembramos la Palabra. Las respuestas no dependen de nosotros, sino de la tierra, es decir el corazón de las personas.
3. Siempre alguna semilla va a caer en una buena tierra, en un corazón bueno y recto que va a entender la palabra, va a brotar en su vida la salvación y el amor de Dios, y va a perseverar en dar fruto.
Dios nos llama hoy a salir a sembrar, a dar a conocer su Gloria, a compartir su mensaje de amor. La tarea es hermosa, y los frutos vienen de su mano.
¡Que Dios les bendiga y su Gloria les acompañe en esta tarea!

Sowing a seed.
“Behold, the sower went out to sow.”
Matthew 13:3
We continue this month with the purpose of making known the glory of God. We recall that the glory of God is his holy presence. To make known the glory of God is to sow the seed of the Word in the hearts of people. Jesus illustrated this truth by a beautiful story known as “The Parable of the Sower” (Matthew 13:3-9).
The Parable of the Sower tells the story of a man who went out to sow, and as he sowed some seed fell by the wayside and the fowls of the air ate it up. Other seed fell among stones, and because it did not have much depth grew rapidly, but when the sun came out it burned and dried. Some fell among thorns and the thorns grew up and choked it. But another part fell on good ground and bore abundant fruit.
The central theme of the parable is not the sower, but the different types of hearts. The seed is the same, but the hearts that receive it are different. Some reject it instantly, because they do not understand it or the evil one blinds them. Others receive it with joy but do not go beyond that joy, they forget. Many have their eyes on the things of this life, they are so busy with things that perish, in accumulating wealth, prestige, goods, entertainment, etc., that the Word grows, but these things choke it. But there is good ground, good and righteous hearts, who understand the word, retain it and persevere in bearing fruit (Matthew 13:18-23, Luke 8:11-15).
Some of the teachings of this parable help us in our resolve to make known the glory of God.
1. Our role is to sow the seed, share the message. It is not our function to produce fruit.
2. There are different types of responses when we plant the Word. The responses do not depend on us, but from the earth, that is the heart of people.
3. Always some seed will fall into good ground, in a good and righteous heart that will understand the word, that will sprout in their life salvation and the love of God, and will persevere to bear fruit.
God calls us today to go and sow, to make known his glory, to share his message of love. The work is beautiful, and the fruits come from his hand.
